Yogi (與儀 Yogi?) is a Circus Second Ship's Fighter and Hirato's subordinate.
Appearance
Yogi is a tall young man with messy blonde hair and violet eyes. He wears a white allergy patch on his left cheek, and if removed it causes his hair to change to silver and his alter ego to emerge.
He's often seen in a long-sleeved yellow shirt with two red stripes on the left arm and is torn in several places and the bottom tears into two long strips that almost touch the ground. He wears green cargo pants and long brown boots that reach past his calves.
Personality
Yogi is a eccentric man, always retaining a bright disposition. Despite his age, he tends to act like a child; he's child-like, rather than childish. He is often very cheerful, however he becomes worried very easily like whenever Gareki insults him. When his allergy patch is removed he becomes extraordinarily violent and powerful, changing into "Silver Yogi", his seperate personality/alter ego. He tends to get along with everyone and especially children because of his playful nature. Highly compassionate, Yogi cherishes his friends and gets very worried whenever they're in danger, as shown when Nai and Karoku were missing. He also enjoys Nyanperona, which is a cat costume and his role during the Circus shows. Yogi loves Nyanperona to the point where he shops from the Nyanperona clothing line and is often ridiculed by Gareki for it.
Relationships
Tsukumo
Yogi has a close relationship with Tsukumo, they get along well as friends and colleagues since they are the first team of Circus Ship Fighters. They dont talk much with each other but Tsukumo knows him very well, being able to interpret his personality and feelings.
Gareki
Even though at first, Gareki seems to reject Yogi´s cheerful attempts to hug him and to get along with him, later, their relationship grows to be very close to the point that somehow, Gareki replaces Tsukumo and starts teaming up with Yogi. Both become really close friends.
Nai
Yogi treats Nai as a sort of his little brother. They both enjoy to play together and collect Nyanperona items. During missions, Yogi will often watch Nai and make sure he is safe. He calls him "Little Nai" or Nai-chan, even when he becomes Silver Yogi.
Hirato
Hirato saved Yogi in his childhood and brought him to live with him. Even though Hirato is his "boss", they maintain an informal relationship, where Hirato greatly enjoys teasing Yogi. However, Hirato seems to respect and acknowledge Yogi as he constantly trusts him with missions.
Akari
It is first shown that Yogi is extremely afraid of Akari as he gets jittery around him. Akari is Yogi's doctor and has performed many checkups on him to fuel Yogi's fear of him. Whenever Yogi is around Akari, his normally cheerful and laid-back personality becomes somewhat more formal and anxious. He must always make sure he is cautious around Akari to avoid reprimands.
Abilities
While he states that battles make him nervous, he is still a skilled fighter.
Weapon
His weapons are two thorn-like épées.
Dorn Kiste (Wall of Rose)
Yogi's special attack. The name means Rose Box in German.
History
He is the prince and sole survivor of a massacre that destroyed his county when he was ten years old. His sister was also murdered in front of him. Also, he was experimented on to create his alternate personality, Silver Yogi, and Yogi does not remember anything about his past nor Silver Yogi. He does not remember his family or anything about his country whatsoever. It was said that Hirato and Tsukitacchi later found him after he had killed the scientists that experimented on him and once they found out he was the prince of his country, they decided to take him into Circus.
Trivia
- The "yo" in his name means participate in, give, award, impart, provide, cause and "gi" means ceremony, rule, affair, case, a matter in Japanese.
- When Yogi introduces himself he calls himself a "sparkling prince", and it foreshadowing for later discovery that he truly is a real prince.
