Karneval Wiki:Monthly Template Karneval (カーニヴァル Kaanivaru), often romanized as K∀RNEVAL, is a Japanese manga series by Touya Mikanagi. It has been serialized in Monthly Comic Zero Sum since August 28, 2007 where it is still ongoing. The individual chapters are being collected and published in tankōbon volumes by Ichijinsha, with 11 released as of April 2012. An anime produced by Manglobe was released in Japan on April 4, 2013. The series follows the adventures of Nai's fortuitous encounter with Gareki. Traveling along the thorny road to locating Nai's friend; Karoku Arumerita, Nai and Karoku encounter the organization Circus.[1]


Plot

Nai searches for someone important to him with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set-up, and they soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country's most powerful defense organization, "Circus".

Nai
Nai is one of the main male protagonist of Karneval. He is a young boy searching for a man named Karoku Arumerita. He meets Gareki inside a mansion, who enters the area by blowing up the ceiling, whilst being abused by Mine, a monster-like humanoid.

Gareki
Gareki is one of the main male protagonist of Karneval. He is a teen who supports himself by robbing people's mansions.

Manga

Karneval is written and illustrated by Touya Mikanagi, the Karneval manga premiered in Monthly Comic Zero Sum in the August 28, 2007 issue. The series is still ongoing. The individual chapters are collected and published in tankōbon volumes by Ichijinsha, which released the first volume on March 25, 2008.

Anime

An anime adaptation co-produced by Manglobe, directed by Eiji Suganuma and debuted by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, Tokyo MX, AT-X, BS11 premiered on April 4, 2013.[2]
